Description
For sale is a vintage 1980s Ensoniq SDP-1 digital piano in decent playing condition. This rare instrument is a somewhat early example of a digital piano that uses samples, weighted keys, and touch sensitivity to attempt to achieve realistic piano tones. The tones on this one certainly don't come anywhere near the authenticity that modern keyboards have, but it does have some cool '80s tones that would sound great in the right recording context; this piano would also be a fun "beater" instrument for your living room or practice space. It's fully functional, but it does have some quirks so we're listing this one as "fair" condition... All the keys work and make sound, but one of the low A keys has been repaired and is a little higher than the rest, the F above middle C makes a clacking sound when you depress it that's noticeable but not too obnoxious, and the C above that has some sensitivity issues that cause it to be quieter than the other keys when it's pressed down repeatedly. None of these issues are too significant and the piano is definitely playable, but it does have its share of quirks that are worth noting. Aside from that, it's missing one of the slider tops and shows cosmetic scuffs and bumps throughout, but it's in solid shape overall. Does not include sustain pedal or other accessories.* If you are placing an international order, please contact us prior to checkout to discuss shipping quotes.
