Error SC 542 indicates a fuser temperature problem.
The Fix In order to clear error SC542, you must perform procedure 5810.
you may have to replace the PICO fuse 1st
Press clear reset.
1 0 7 push and hold clear
select system sp
Use number buttons
push 5 8 1 0 Press #
push execute in display
Use up and down arrow keys to select 5-810-2 Press #
press execute in display
hit exit
quite a few times till you are out
Confirm back at the sc code screen
Power off and on with the red switch.
